UPDATE #1 - BBC ANDINO EXPRESS LINE - EMERGENCY WATERWAY SURCHARGE

*ADVISORY NOTICE UPDATE

Dear Customers,

We refer to our recent client circulars concerning the Panama Canal situation dated November 15 and 27, 2023; details are published in the "announcements" - section on our website: https://www.bbc-chartering.com/news-and-media/announcements

BBC Chartering announces it will be implementing an Emergency Waterway Surcharge, this surcharge has been
filed with the Federal Maritime Commission and it will be *effective December 6, 2023, as per Special Permission granted by the Federal Maritime Commission. The liner service surcharge will be charged on all shipments for the route between the United States and the West Coast of South America, which include Ecuador, Peru, and Chile.

– Emergency Waterway Surcharge – applicable on all cargo, unless otherwise stated and at the following levels:

Break-bulk / Project Cargo USD 145.00 W/M (1,000kg/1cbm)
20 Foot Container (All Types) USD 1500.00 per unit
40 Foot Container (All Types) USD 2000.00 per unit

Note: The above replaces the present Panama Canal and Panama Canal Emergency surcharges. The surcharge will apply regardless of the route ultimately determined by the Carrier.
